About Us Just Plain Country was started over 25 years ago in the mountains of North Carolina by master craftsman Roger Ellis. Mr. Ellis studied antique primitive furniture and developed finishes and special touches that made his reproductions authentic and 'homey.'
In 2006, Roger retired from the business and decided to sell Just Plain Country to LifeSpan, a non-profit organization in North Carolina that serves children and adults with developmental disabilities. When Just Plain Country was purchased, Mr. Ellis personally trained our craftsmen using the unique techniques he developed over his 25-plus years of woodworking. He remains active in our organization today.
Just Plain Country is located in Troutman, North Carolina, where we continue to specialize in building custom primitive reproduction furniture. Our focus is to provide superior quality and customer service. It is also worthy to note that profits gained from the sale of our furniture go back to our parent company, LifeSpan, to help people with developmental disabilities. Please visit www.lifespanservices.org to learn more about LifeSpan and to see how your purchases help others.
